The structure is designed to emulate natural features in architectural design. It takes shape as an amorphous cloud that is made out of solid objects but appears as a liquid moving throughout a space. First, boundaries were set by taking the dimensions of the original Ragdale ring and extruding them sixteen feet to meet the lowest leaves on the trees. Then, shapes were grown, poured, and eroded within this cylinder to create a cloud-like shape that terminates at the edges of the boundaries. The result is an architecture that is constructed using typical architectural elements, but with a formal language more like a liquid than a solid.
